The incubator provides guideline and discussion place to projects which want to enter the Flink Extended Organization.
- Prepare new project proposal in the issues page, learn more about the proposal template and the proposal example
- If needed, refine the proposal based on Incubator Team (consists mainly of Flink PMC members) feedback
- Let the Incubator Team vote on the proposal
- Setup the project repository
- Start building a community around the project
- Invite new maintainers
- Make project releases and document and refine both the code and the release process
- Add the project to flink-packages.org to let more people know about it
