App crashes when uploaded to App store #70941

you can try |
@Adherentman when I switched to dev it couldn't recognize the NavigationRail Widget , which is part of the App. can beta or master work instead of dev? |
I switched to the dev channel but it didn't work. I resubmitted it and it crashed with the same error |
I have the same problem. What is Apple's response to your crash?
In my App, a network request will be sent to my backend when login, but it works in my simulator iPhone 12 (iOS 14.3)... my log
|
@forever84721 in my case the App crashes directly after launch. In my case the crash is in Thread 0. |

@forever84721 No. it crashed directly after launch . couldn't even load the page , which has the network request functionality. |

@darshankawar I uploaded the app via codemagic. I did this because I didn't have a mac. But I was able to connect of one of the macs (used by codemagic) via VNC.I ran my project through github on an iPhone simulator (it took a lot of time), but at the end it ran successfully . I wasn't able to test on a real ios device. In case of the macOs , it was Catalina. |
@Nader2004 So the crash is occuring only if you are trying to upload using codemagic ? If you try to do it manually, does it work ? |
@darshankawar Codemagic only uploads the build to App store connect then I submit it for review . I can not upload the build manually because I have a windows machine, that's why I used codemagic. |
@Nader2004 |
last weekend i get the same report. Then I change |

@darshankawar I tested the app using Testflight and it crashed on my iPhone 6s Plus running ios 14.2. So I think there is no problem with codemagic. |
@Nader2004 Nice. Is it possible for you to provide a code sample from the codebase that could possibly help to replicate the issue ? You may try to segregate the code and see where could it be triggering the crash. |
@darshankawar the problem is that I am running my project on a windows machine. I think there is a way by symbolicating the crash reported by Apple, but is there a way to do it on windows and if not is there a solution? |
@forever84721 |
@Nader2004 I am not sure if we can do it on Windows, but if possible, it would be great if you could provide a minimal code sample where it crashes to better analyze the issue. |
@darshankawar I think I am not able to provide a code sample because I don't have crash logs locally when testing it. So I don't have the location of code, where the error comes from. |
@Adherentman So I think it is difficult to provide a minimal code sample for this crash problem. |
Since there's no reproducible use case to analyze the issue and the crash is occuring after uploading to app store, keeping this issue open for further triage. |
@darshankawar I have an idea about analyzing the issue. Hope it woks :

But this actually works fine on android device. |
@Salakar , I'm seeing Firebase both in the stack trace and in @Nader2004's minimal sample. Could it be something with that --- either our friends misusing the Firebase plugin, or a bug in the plugin? I dunno --- just casting around for ideas. |
Hi all . Thanks for your help. The App now doesn't crash on ios when I tested it using testflight on the same device it failed on . The reason for this is the way I added the Google services.plist file into my project. Since I don't have windows , I added through vs code. Turns out that it should be added through xcode , because xcode modifies extra files too. I had an access to xcode using VNC to one of the mini Macs Codemagic uses (There are Mac pros too). Here is the link that helped me : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/61580053/why-does-my-flutter-app-crash-at-startup-on-ios |
Confirmed with @Salakar that it's not a Firebase issue. Good news, @Nader2004 on your results! Keep us posted, and if it works, go ahead and ping me and I'll close this issue. |
Hi @kf6gpe . Sorry for responding late. Yes the app is now accepted and got uploaded to the app store. So I think this issue is solved now for me. Thank you. |
I will close this issue now , as it's no longer an issue for me. I f anyone disagrees on this , let me know to reopen it. |

I have tested the App and it worked fine on an android emulator and on android real device and on an iphone simulator. But it crashed when uploaded to the app store . Here is my flutter doctor :
