This release brings a huge refactoring of the testsuite, which is now easier to use than before. It runs in a sanitised environment and the testtool can list tests, execute all but some tests or execute some given tests. It also support environment based test matrices, which increases even more the robustness of the product.

There are also a few important bug fixes.

This pre-release shows improvements in the support of TeX and friends,
OCaml, scripts, adds support for C (with cross-compilation) and more.

Features:

• Support configuration profiles, so that we can easily switch
  from Debug to Release, for instance.
• The subhsell works even better than before.
• Support architectures, so that we can cross-compile our programs.
• Support C modules.
• Support OCaml modules.
• Support TeX modules, producing documents with index, bibliography,
  output to PDF, PostScript and DVI.
• Support METAPOST modules, producing pictures to use in TeX documents

Support of NetBSD and OpenBSD is delayed until the version of make
found in the base system is updated.

This is alpha software and its distribution is intended for testing
purposes only.

This maintenance release improves the distribution tarball preparation to ease packaging under Debian.

This maintenance release fixes the following bugs:

• #117 Check for a compatible make at configuration time

This release features a signed but non-official Debian package, because we have still no package in the official repository.
