fossology-tools

This repository gathers some Fossology helpers built by Orange and Orange Business Services.

Script: upload-rest.sh - Version 1.3

This is an example script that performs the following:

  1. [optional] create a token from username + password
  2. Create all required folders
  3. Upload a binary file, or Git URL
  4. Wait for unpack job to finish successfuly (polling)
  5. [optional] looks up previous upload for Reuse
  6. Trigger scan jobs
  7. Build URL to browse in Fossology

Notes:

  • Autentication: Use either the username+password OR the token option.
  • GIT proxy credentials may be provided via environment variables
  • Reuse option: applies clearing decisions from the most recent upload with same upload name, in same folder.
  • You can specify the Group name to which the upload will belong
  • The REST API URL can be provided separately

Caveat:

  • The Group Name must already exist, it is not (yet) created automatically

Script: download-rest.sh - Version 1

This is an example script that performs the following:

  1. [optional] create a token from username + password
  2. Wait for scan job to finish successfuly (polling)
  3. Trigger report generation
  4. Wait for Report generation jobs to finish successfuly (polling)
  5. Download report to the specified directory

Notes:

  • Autentication: Use either the username+password OR the token option.
