This is a solution to the IP address tracker challenge on Frontend Mentor. Frontend Mentor challenges help you improve your coding skills by building realistic projects.
Users should be able to:
- View the optimal layout for each page depending on their device's screen size
- See hover states for all interactive elements on the page
- See their own IP address on the map on the initial page load
- Search for any IP addresses or domains and see the key information and location
- Solution URL: ip-address-tracker
- Live Site URL: ip-address-tracker
- Semantic HTML5 markup
- CSS custom properties
- Flexbox
- CSS Grid
- Mobile-first workflow
- React - JS library
- Next.js - React framework
- Redux Toolkit - For state management
- TailwindCSS - For styles
I have to use dynamic imports to load the map component only when the user clicks the search button. This way, I can reduce the initial load time of the page.
import dynamic from 'next/dynamic';
const MapaComponent = dynamic(() => import('./_components/Mapa'), { ssr: false });
I will continue to develop this project by adding more features and improving the user experience.
- Declare enviroment variables - This helped me to declare environment variables in Next.js.
- Creating de .env.local file - This helped me to create the .env.local file to store the environment variables.
