When setting the dependencies of the task the selectfield shows all tasks of all projects but should filter for only the tasks related to that project

All tasks are not project based. There can be individual tasks as well which might be interdependent. Though we can add project filter if project is mentioned.

I think that would help to be able to filter for project-
remember, we are talking task dependencies - so within a Project it is best practice to refere only to project related tasks or count those mentioned as project related -
that means, if I reference a task to a project´s other Task it is part of the project!
the only usefull situation I could see for looking at all tasks is that there might be a task that has not been referenced in terms of the project.
so how about a tick box - that when ticked neutralises the potential Task of project filter in the link field and hence makes all tasks available?

I agree, if the task has a project, then only dependent tasks should show!
