there is now an EB for spark2.x could we install Spark 2.1 ?

Sorry - just followed the link to the PR for the existing easyconfig. I'll re-open to explicitly built Spark 2.1.

R - sparklyr from CRAN
R - sparkr should be in the EB pacakge
Python - pyspark should be in the EB package (removing Python tag from this issue now)
Spark - new EB for 2.1.0

sparklyr has been added to R-3.4.0 and R-3.4.1

R-3.4.0-foss-2016b-fh1.eb: ('sparklyr', '0.5.3', ext_options),
R-3.4.1-foss-2016b-fh1.eb: ('sparklyr', '0.6.0', ext_options),
