Fix a singular/plural mistake. Whilst here, a handful of other minor changes.

<bugnumber> is invisible in this context: > … add 'PR: ' to the comment message. … Use a reverse solidus \ to escape the angle bracket characters: \< \> I don't know whether that is the proper way to make what's required visible, but it does seems to work.
