The status bar face guy is fine, but the actual status bar itself is boring and grey, the text is ugly and poorly rendered and the numbers are in a weird looking gothic font that doesn't really fit.

Lots of mods have really nice looking status bars (eg. BTSX or Eternal Doom), and it's really just a shame that Freedoom doesn't have something better.

I remaked STBAR & STARMS from Freedoom in many variants (some not have STARMS)

P.S. Remaked in Paint.NET

Thanks, but it doesn't seem like this addresses any of the actual problems mentioned in the original description:

  • "The status bar is boring and grey" - no real change here. Some of your new variants are more flat and grey than the current one.
  • "The text is ugly and poorly rendered" - this is still using the same text (unchanged)
  • "The numbers are in a weird looking gothic font that doesn't really fit" - your file doesn't include any replacement number graphics.

The files also aren't in the Doom palette, so I'm not sure how well these would work in game.

No offence but it doesn't seem like you just applied some filters to the existing graphics. The status bar is a very prominent graphic and Freedoom really needs something entirely new, made from scratch - not just a reworking of the existing graphics.
