FreeDM mean Deathmatch, Deathmatch mean Carnage that mean bloob and etc.
I mean we need a more dm like status bar, something marble with blood, this is sure awsome for freedm

Might be nice, but for now I'd be satisfied with just having a better status bar for all of Freedoom (#45). Once we have that, maybe consider making a modified one (blood splats etc.) for FreeDM.

It should also have wide status bars, for people who use resolutions wider than 4:3 in ports.

I think the status bars should be the same for all versions of freedoom. I've developed a habit of running partial wads (6 or 7 levels) in FreeDM, so that you know when the pwad ends. It might not be easy to do if the status bars are different.

Sounds like an unusual use case, and that's not the reason that we develop FreeDM. Maybe an alternative would be to make a 32-map PWAD full of tiny/empty levels and load that before the PWAD you want to play, then you can tell when you've finished it.

I still think it's a good idea to make a different status bar for FreeDM. It doesn't have to be completely different - maybe it's the same status bar with some slight mods. FreeDM deserves to have its own distinct and unique identity to differentiate itself from the main project.
