Image upload has seen huge improvements over the past year. It is now a drag and drop process with the added image automatically being added to the post. That is great progress.

For videos this does not (yet) work.

Describe the feature you'd like

For small video files it would be great if the same process also worked via drag and drop and the video would automatically be added to the post.

A limit should be set and adjustable by the instance admin.

For bigger video files show an error message referring to https://joinpeertube.org/instances where larger files can be uploaded and then shared.

Additional context

Currently dragging a video file into the file upload area of the post composer results in no error message and no successful upload. Until this feature is added, showing an error message about what went wrong would be very helpful to users:

Test was done with a 152 kb mp4 video file (h264). On This is Friendica, version 2024.03-rc that is running at the web location https://pirati.ca. The database version is 1556/1556, the post update version is 1550/1550.
