Output flows in Graphviz DOT format.

Messing around with petgraph (whilst working on flows) and produced this:

graphviz

Each edge in this DAG represents a path between hosts that was actual followed and observed during a trace.

Seems like this would be quite a handy feature and should be low cost to add.

Example of generating a pdf diagram of a TCP trace to example.com:

trip example.com --tcp -m dot | dot -Tpdf > example.pdf

Note: requires installing the Graphviz dot tool.
