Once I got my new M1 MacBook Pro, I was amazed by its speed, and Davinci Resolve was equally fast. However, the good old colorNegInvert Plugin didn't work anymore — no surprise, since it was compiled like 7 years ago and hasn't been maintained since.
Fortunately it is Open Source, and so it was possible to tweak it. While I didn't even get it to fully compile, my son @kadiwa4 was more thorough and (much more knowing) and got it to work after some fun nights of poking around!
So — now it works on M1 Macs!
Just unzip the downloaded file and copy it into /Library/OFX/Plugins. More info on how to use on https://www.filmlabs.org/technical-section/telecine/inverting-color-negatives/
