Hello! 👋
It'd be really nice to be able to "live stream" slides like you can with Slides. As in, have the option to share a link to your slides and have the slides on the viewer's end advance in sync with yours as you present.
I don't have any sense for what it would take to implement something like this 🙃. I'm guessing it might be more of a where and how the slides are hosted, but thought I'd put it out there anyway

Thanks for the suggestion! This might actually be possible with something like peer.js!

Thanks for the quick response -- it's so exciting to hear it might be possible!

I think it would help a lot of folks bypass some of the challenges associated with presenting via a video call screenshare. Like not having access to presenter notes when your slides have to be fullscreen on your only monitor, or having interruptions in the video feed because you have internet connectivity issues, for example.

Pear Deck does this - I played with it last year, and it went reasonably well, but:

  1. Didn't work reliably with any browser other than Chrome.
  2. Didn't actually cut the bandwidth requirements, since people still wanted video of the presenter speaking.

There's a free trial if anyone wants to play with it for a bit - might inspire something better?

Hi all, I've gotten this working in a feature branch in #58! Please feel free to take it for a spin and let me know if you encounter any issues.

Seems to work as expected for me, Garrick. Super impressive stuff!
