Windows builds 0.5.0 #52
Comments
I've just been running Gravit from the beta2 on a real computer with Windows 7 (64bit). It runs amazingly well and fast :) |
@gak: just uploaded my personal "gravit build kit for MinGW"; it contains pre-compiled libs for 64bit and 32bit. If you like, just add it to the gravit website. You might remember that getting a working set of libs for gcc 64bit is really painful ... in particular, SDL and freetype (precompiled with Visual studio) usually do not work; so I went through building for gcc from scratch. |
OK, I understand how painful it is as I tried to get that it going myself :) I've put it on the TODO list for the website, #53 |
@gak: did you try my last changes already? If there are no more code changes needed, I could do the final 0.5.0 windows build this weekend ... and then we should shoot a proper tag through the repo to once and forever mark the 0.5.0 codebase :) |
Yes, I mentioned a few posts ago that I tried beta2 and it worked great. I left it running over about 3 days and it worked flawlessly too. Yes, please make a final build of the Windows installer. |
@gak: OK, finals build are in the usual location. Please add them to the website. Wow, I'm glad we have the relase ready, after almost a year of adding small improvements here and there :-) |
Yup, I'm glad it's out too! |
