recording replace in a macro, triggers error #1266

Is there a solution to this issue? This is still happening and the macro is useless. |
AFAICT there has been no pull request addressing it in the last month or so, maybe you should contact the plugin maintainer. Edit: or of course supply your own PR. |

As the title says, this action always triggers an error, perhaps because I am replacing a string with nothing. This is being used in Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2.
