recording replace in a macro, triggers error #1266

As the title says, this action always triggers an error, perhaps because I am replacing a string with nothing. This is being used in Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2.

Is there a solution to this issue? This is still happening and the macro is useless.

AFAICT there has been no pull request addressing it in the last month or so, maybe you should contact the plugin maintainer.

Edit: or of course supply your own PR.
