Use Published Date in File Name?

Is there any way to use the page's published date/time in the filename? I know of another extension that will use the published date/time if available, otherwise, it falls back to the current date/time.

Also, what is the difference between visit date/time variables and the saved date/time variables? When I save a page I'm currently looking at, then the visit date/time and the saved date/time will always be the same. In what instance would the visit date/time be different than the saved date/time?
