These two terms seems to be the same, maybe we should stick with one of them throughout the UI?

I personally prefer "Staging area", however this only make sense if git-cola considers these two terms exactly the same meaning.

Currently in zh_TW translation "Stage(verb)" is translated as "Move into staging area" while "Unstage" translated as "Moving out of staging area", user not familiar with Git may confused by the different term used.

I agree, using both terms makes things inconsistent and less clear. We should probably stick with "staging area". The "Index" menu could be called "Stage", perhaps?

@davvid
Please use "Staging area" instead of "Stage(verb)", reasons:

  • It's pretty strange to see "Unstage" inside the "Stage(verb)" menu(?)
  • as mentioned above, currently "Stage(verb)" is translated as "Moving into staging area", its translation will make the menu extraordinary long than the currently already lengthy "版本提交準備區域(Staging area)"
