for any bounty hunter / tipper in the US who makes $600 or more, we may legally be obligated to 1099 them. that means:

  1. collect name / address / SSN
  2. issue a 1099 to them at the end of the year.

@owocki Any update here? Might be worth upping priority if we need to handle this going backwards

What does it mean - legally be obigated to 1099? Like paying taxes or not paying them is not a personal choice in US anymore and they are enforcing it by taking money that people earned even before can get hold on them? I thought that such systems should be strictly opt-in as we don't know the situation, and collecting too much data on people gives up their privacy.

no update.. i hadn't seen this becoming priority until next tax season

so this is the original 1099 ticket... good to know we're postponing it successfully since over a year already lol
