Do you want to request a feature or report a bug?
bug

What is the current behavior?
Perceived as unable to stage changes.
It looks like changes are staged however the UI fails to update, as after closing and re-opening the dialog all files are staged

If the current behavior is a bug, please provide the steps to reproduce and if possible a minimal demo of the problem.
A brand new repo on a brand new laptop
ge-fail-to-stage

What is the expected behavior?
Stages all files in timely manner

Environment you encounter the issue:
v3.00-beta1

  • GitExtensions version: v3.00-beta1
  • GIT version: 2.19
  • OS version: W10E 1803
  • .NET version: 4.7

Did this work in previous version of GitExtensions (which)?
Always, not on this laptop though

I can simulate this very easily. Major issue if you ask me.

Are you able to debug it?
I can no longer reproduce it on the work laptop where it was happening (which doesn't have debug env for GE). And I haven't seen it on my home laptop.
