android: Control fading problem

The controls fade slowly or not at all on my Android Rokit Pro 3D phone. While I can make them fade by tapping on the picture, this is a bit annoying. It would be preferable to have a tap make them fade immediately. The problem of not fading seems to be associated with using some controls. I just used the right arrow to shift to the next still, and it is no longer fading at all. When in slide show mode it is sometimes difficult to bring up the controls.
