It would be pretty cool to have a DS9 mode in which lensed is fed input directly from DS9. The model could be specified via regions, and the results could be displayed in tabular form, as well as images with regions overlaid.

It seems like DS9 can interface easily with other programs using something called XPA. The DS9 documentation is here, and the XPA documentation is here.
