Based on my recent post in the forum: https://discuss.gohugo.io/t/simple-deployment-to-gh-pages/5003
I've removed large parts which were not really about GitHub Pages deployment but rather Hugo in general. I've replaced the subtree approach with the /docs folder and the git worktree approaches. The description of user/org pages has remained unchanged. I don't work with this kind of deployment, but the description looks still valid.
