gotest works fine but I notice that I am left with a _test directory and a _testmain.go
file. These are not removed by make clean or by make testpackage-clean.

Surely these should be removed, ideally by make clean, or at least by make
testpackage-clean?

(Also why not have an alias for testpackage-clean "testclean"?)
