Many ppl including use IntelliJ IDEA as a general purpose IDE. Also I write not only my
Java code but also my Go code in this IDE. Actually I already made a custom language
configuration and definition file for IntelliJ...

Also:
I've signed the CLA 1.1.
Cloned the Google's Go repo
And Pushed the configuration file to my cloned repo:

People interested in this issue might also want to look at the google go lang plugin for
IntelliJ IDEA (available for download directly from the IDE). It provides highlighting
and a few nice features. Project is hosted on github here:
https://github.com/mtoader/google-go-lang-idea-plugin
