Separate git repos for common vs charts?

Hi,
current structure of this repo means that it is not possible to import the git repo directly in a pubspec file: dependencies#git-packages for testing latest commits.

would it be possible to split the two repos for development?

The current repo layout is intentional.

However, you can still use a git dependency, you just need to add the path: argument, see the third example here: https://flutter.io/using-packages/#dependencies-on-unpublished-packages
