I am unable to ./build_all.

I get stuck with the following:

test/cpp/tests/MR4CTests.cpp:17:33: fatal error: cppunit/TestFixture.h: No such file or directory
#include <cppunit/TestFixture.h>

Can you provide instructions on how to get the dependencies for the different platforms?

The fact that you are asking about "port or brew" implies that you are
installing this on OSX. We have not tested MR4C on OSX and I suspect that
you will have a fairly large project on your hands. We suggest Ubuntu 12.04
or CentOS 6.5 as these are the supported OSs for CDH5. Having said this, I
wouldn't dissuade you from trying other OS configurations as long as you
are aware that you will be doing much of the legwork yourself.
