Oldest Unacknowledged Message up to 7 days!

TL;DR: #73 seems to be back since Aug 11, 2018.

Since Aug 11, 2018 we're seeing the same issue as described in #73 again. Reappearance of the issue doesn't coincide with any code changes on our end: During the phase where the issue appeared our affected services did not receive any code changes.

The largest delay that we have obeserved so far is 167h (so almost 7 days) so I believe that the maximum retention time of 7 days was hit and the messages were effectively removed without ever being consumed.

@kir-titievsky were there server updates around this time that could have re-introduced the issue?

I don’t believe so. This does not look like a client bug. If you have a support contract with GCP, please submit a support case as soon as you can.

@kir-titievsky unfortunately I currently only have "Bronze" support, so no way of opening an issue.

Last time (when we still had Gold support) we created a support issue for #73 but never received a response.

Any other way to resolve this issue?
