I think that with the new version, you can just insert it wherever you want in the status line

Closing.

I installed tmux-mem-cpu-load with:

brew install tmux-mem-cpu-load

Then edited my ~/.tmux.conf.local copy to make it call #(tmux-mem-cpu-load --colors --interval 2):

tmux_conf_theme_status_left=' ❐ #S | ↑#{?uptime_d, #{uptime_d}d,}#{?uptime_h, #{uptime_h}h,}#{?uptime_m, #{uptime_m}m,} |#(tmux-mem-cpu-load --colors --interval 2)'
