Unable to compile Android project with gradle 5.0-all wrapper #8243

@AlienAsRoger I notice that the build scan shows lint errors and also use of Gradle 4.10.1. Is that from a different failed build? |
This is from the successful build. With 5.0 I can't get build scan |
If you have the build scan plugin manually applied, you need to update it to 2.1 for Gradle 5. |
I didn't use plugin, I just run gradle --scan command. I'll check with plugin as well. |
Looking at the stacktrace, I see
Perhaps that plugin is not yet compatible with Gradle 5? |
I tried to update my android project with Androdi Studio 3.3 (stable) to the latest gradle wrapper
distributionUrl=https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-5.0-all.zip
And got the following error:

Expected Behavior
Project should Compile w/o any errors or error should be specific to my project telling me what to fix.
Current Behavior
Project isn't compiling, giving me an error mentioned above.

I just tried to update my AS project for Android from AS 3.3. alpha 10 to the stable version.

use gradle 5.0-all wrapper
