Throughout navbar research, there have been requests for letting admins/users customize their navigation. Anecdotally, most of the users have asked to add their favorite dashboards to the navbar. In rarer cases, users have asked to remove items they don't use often.
There are a lot of considerations for this work:
At what level would these changes be made (per org, per team, per user) and who can make them (admin, user)
Are there any items we would not allow to be removed (Explore, Dashboards)
And most importantly, is there enough of a need for this feature for us to do the work?
Focused user research is needed here before any designs should be started.
