What would you like to be added:

This one might be considered as multiple requests but I thought it's better open one since they are very related.

  1. We need a linear legend like we have in the "Heatmap panel" and non-discreate threshold option like "spectrum mod" in the Heatmap panel.

Worldmap Panel Legend:

Heatmap Panel Legend:

  1. I should be able to display the thresholds as percentages, (such as. < 50%, 50% - 75%)

  2. It shouldn't say 0.9+. It should be "> 0.9" because the first one is using the less than symbol. "<".

  3. I would like to be able to set custom names to the thresholds and display them in the legend instead of numbers. For example:

< 0.50: Critic
0.50-0.75 Warning
0.90 Healthy

I have special scenario, I want to colorize each item by their status, and each status is an integer number.

0: Stock
1: Problem
2: In-Test
3: Working

This is how the legend looks, it's not intuitive the set-up and impossible to understand by people who doesn't know the meaning of those numbers.

Why is this needed:

Worldmap Panel's threshold options is very limited for many use case I explained above.

May I ask if are there any plans for this panel? It seems the panel haven't get any update for some time.
Should I search for alternative solutions?

Hi @mertbakir,

we kind of took over development with our canonical fork [1], you can find setup instructions at [2]. While we are not working full time on that, you might want to add some issues there and we will try to look at them on the next iteration of development.

Eventually, we will integrate all of those improvements we are maintaining there back into mainline.

With kind regards,
Andreas.
