Won't generate grails date picker

In the views directory _fields I have several widgets and wrappers. The one for a date picker has this line in it: <g:datePicker name="${property}" value="${value}" precision="${constraints?.attributes?.precision}" years="${constraints?.attributes?.years}"/> That way I can specify everything from the domain class - how the date is displayed, the precision of the date picker, etc.
This is the error when it tries to generate the GSP: Error executing tag <f:all>: Error evaluating expression [constraints.attributes.precision] on line [7]: No such property: attributes for class: org.grails.scaffolding.model.property.Constrained I looked at the code on GitHub and can't find attributes as a property. At the moment I've fallen back on the old _form.gsp template.
