As in grafana#177 the package requires /var/run/carbon-relay-ng by default. Add an example tmpfiles.d config to the source Add this file to the deb in makefile.

When I install the package it fails to start on reboot as it needs /var/run/carbon-relay-ng which is deleted on each reboot. ( /var/run is a link to /run which is a memory based tmpfs )
Could you add the file in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/carbon-relay-ng.conf with the following content:
This should ensure it get created each time.
