Most of what you're going to want to hack on are the two template files: page-show-cards.php and card.php, and the styles in style.css. The styles related to the filtering options lists are under a comment reading "FILTER LISTS STYLING."
To set up a page with the page-show-cards.php template, switch the template to "Show Yer Cards."
