Hungarian Rings - Puzzle Simulator

This is a simulator of the famous "Hungarian Rings" puzzle. I added 122 different puzzles.

You can create a text file with a script that describes the location of rings, balls and their colors. Each ball can be marked with a marker (letter or number) to make the puzzle harder to solve. I have created files for all the ring puzzles, you can download them from the "Ring" folder.

How to play

Mouse

• Mouse click (Left/Right button) - rotate rings clockwise or counterclockwise
• Mouse Wheel - rotation of the rings clockwise or counterclockwise
• Mouse click (second button) - go back one step

Keyboard hot-key

• Space - back one step
• F1 - opens a small hint window showing the initial state of the puzzle.
• F2 - reset the puzzle to its initial state.
• F3 - opening a file with a new ring-puzzle
• F4 - automatic scramble puzzle
• F5 - opens a small window showing the photo with real puzzle
• F8 - automatic super-scramble
• F11 - previous puzzle
• F12 - next puzzle

Programm button

• Reset - reset the puzzle to its initial state.
• Scramble - automatic scramble puzzle
• Undo - back one step
• Open - opening a file with a new ring-puzzle
• Solved State - opens a small hint window showing the initial state of the puzzle.
• Puzzle Photo - opens a link in the browser to photos and a description of the original puzzle.

The program supports various types of puzzles with rings

Rings with different number of balls

You can make a marker on each ball (letters and numbers) so that each ball becomes unique. These puzzles are harder to solve.

You can set an arbitrary number of rings

Can make very large and complex puzzles

Can customize the puzzle with arbitrary orbits
