Project Background

Is the weather perfect where you are right now? What is perfect weather? What is it perfect for?

Inspired by the often perfect weather in Van Nuys, California, this project hopes to connect you with local outdoor activities and local businesses to make the most of great weather!

Goals

1. Basic website opining weather Van Nuys is perfect
2. Suggestions of things to do based on weather (e.g. coffee shops with outdoor seating)
3. extensibility to an arbitrary zipcode

Setup

1. If you don’t have Node.js installed, install it from here (Node.js version >= 14.6.0 required)

2. Clone this repository

3. Navigate into the project directory

   $ cd IsItPerfect

4. Install the requirements

   $ npm install

5. Make a copy of the example environment variables file

   On Linux systems:

   $ cp .env.example .env

   On Windows:

   $ copy .env.example .env

6. Add your API keys to the newly created .env file

7. Run the app

   $ npm run dev

You should now be able to access the app at http://localhost:3000!
