Arch Linux is a light and fast distribution whose concept is to remain as simple as possible. In the same purpose or in order to give free choice to the user, PyArchboot performs a minimal arch installation, only base with required packages will be installed. According to desired configuration and in order to get complete support additional packages may be required.
The only thing you need is one USB bootable device of Arch Linux.
You can obviously try it in a virtual machine first...
π¨ PyArchboot is now public but still debugging, comment DEBUG lines in PyArchboot.py to test !
1. Reboot computer, open Boot Selection Menu and boot on the USB device
2. Select Boot Arch Linux (x86_64) on the install menu of Arch Linux
Use loadkeys to set keyboard layout if needed (e.q., for azerty run
loqdkeys fr
).
3. Install PyArchboot curl -OL tiny.cc/pyarchboot && sh pyarchboot
4. Start the installer cd PyArchboot && python PyArchboot.py
