The latest versions (201) include many changes to the API that cause deprecation warnings. Many of these look like they will cause issues with newer IDEs.
In order to keep the plugin from becoming stale, these older versions should be removed from support.

My Android Studio is at version 4.0. I'm getting a warning saying I should "upgrade to at least 2018.2". I believe this is a bug, as Android Studio 4.0 is based on IDEA 2019.3. Please fix
@marczellm Thanks for reporting this issue. I just tried it out with Android Studio 4.0.1, and the IDE sees the version number as "4.0". The About screen shows the version as AI-193.6911, which is supported.
