I know it's a very big change.

I live near Milan (Lombardy, Italy) and everyday I need data about both Milan and Lombardy transit.

Since I found out Transportr, I contribute with as many dataset about Italian transit as I can find on websites.

It's been months (I posted my first message on 21-08-2016) that I wait an useful answer from Navitia in order to add some datasets about Italy on their datasets. On the other hand, on Transit.land not only my requests have been fullfilled (many times) but also there are many more datasets avaliable (19 on Navitia, 172 on Transit.land).

Right now I don't know the situation in other location but generally I think that with Transit.land you have a better converage of data and a better community support.

Obviously, even Transit.land is free software ;)

Even though I am not sure transitland is entirely free software and that it supports all the necessary capabilities, I'd be happy to accept a pull request for providers that use the transitland API.

Please note that the bulk of the work for that would need to be done in public-transport-enabler and not in Transportr.

As of now Transitland does not offer a routing API. When this happens, support for it should be implemented directly in PTE, not in Transportr.
