I am working on raspberry pi 3b and purethermal 2 input output board. I just need to capture the raw thermal image and save it using python. While I tried to use purethermal1-uvc-capture, it streams the video. And also the camera shutter get stuck many time. When I reset the camera it again restarts. If anyone has any examples and documentation to refer, Please let me know.

Probably damaged shutter. Depending on how you mount it the shutter is very delicate and I have seen them damaged. In my case it was stuck open so the calibrations failed. Try replacing with a new camera and see if the problem goes away.

I am not familiar with that board but the shutter issue is a problem with the FLIR module itself.
