03. Motivation

There are a lot of volunteer organization around the world that support people in their learning journey. Often tho, learner need more then a weekly event or a one time workshop, often learner need a very custom support and mostly someone they can refer to when they feel overwhelm and lost in their learning path. Many of these organizations has both learners and coaches willing to help each other but matching people it often require a lot of work and effort from the volunteer organization. They simply don't have time and energy to follow such a demanding program. I'm part of one of these organization and it always sad to receive so many request from coaches and leaners but not being able to help them meet and match.

Another thing i notice, is how difficult is for newcomers to choose a coach. Since their understanding and knowledge on the topic are very restricted, is difficult to figured out who can help you. Many coach-learner platform offer the possibility to find the expert you wish for among a long list of coaches. This can be overwhelming for beginners that have not clear yet in which direction they want to go and what exactly they want to learn.

Here it come the idea of this platform. The idea of a place where people can very easily find a person to start a learning journey with. This person can be a coach or a learner and through a series of questions will be able to find a person that is as close as possible to what they are looking for. The idea is to have always relatively small amount of matches, to help the people in making the choice.

The project is open source and is a backbone structure that can be easily customize since it want to be an easy solution for no-profit organizations. Those organizations can now use the platform and customize with their brand and use it to support their learners/coaches even better.
