Hi, I tried out Markor on my android tablet and while I find its interface very clean and it promises to be very useful, I've found a few minor issues.

Because theses are mostly minor and so many, I'm writing them all down in this single issue. If you want some of these as extra issues, give me a shout.

General information

  • Device: Acer B3-A30
  • Android Version: Android 6.0
  • App version: v0.1.5

Issues

  1. When creating a new document, if only the title has been entered and then the preview icon is tapped, the document is not created and the preview is empty. Even if return has been pressed after entering the title.
  2. When the preview is closed with the back arrow the app returns to the list of documents, not to the previously opened document.
  3. When entering an ordered list, after entering return after the second item line, no new item is generated on the next line.
  4. The file move dialog has no title, so one has to guess what it does.
  5. The toolbar button to insert a link does not use the current text selection as the link text.
  6. The H1 H2 and H3 buttons should enter the hash sign at the start of the line not at the current cursor position.
  7. FR: There is no undo (?)
  8. The About page is always in portrait orientation.
  9. FR: It would be nice to have a built-in Markdown syntax reference with a list of the supported extensions (if any).
  10. The button for the horizontal line always inserts two lines of ----. Why?

thanks for feedback

  1. Intended. we dont save empty new files.
  2. Rework Fragments should adress this. conment that in Merge PreviewActivity+NoteActivity / make use of fragments #40
  3. create new issue (1)
  4. It has an title. "Select folder"
  5. create issue (1)
  6. create issue (1)
  7. create issue (2)
  8. Intended. Most data gets parsed from textfiles, landscape for many short lines doesnt make much sense, and I think for About portrait is very enough
  9. Create issue (3)
  10. Create issue (1)

Please create new issues, you can combine those with issue(1) into one

Thanks for the comments.

re 1) Ok, while I find that's a pity, it's a very minor issue. If I wanted to create several documents quickly by just entering the titles, I can always type in some short placeholder text in the contents.

re 2) Done.

re 3) See #100 (also for 5), 6), 7) and 10)).

re 7) See #101.

re 8) I still think this is off-putting. Maybe this can be addressed if a help screen is added (see next item).

re 9) See #102.

The about screen will stay only for People/Names, Licenses, Backlinks, App-Version. If there will get Markdown Help added, this will get into a seperate activity/fragment
