Hacktoberfest is a celebration open to everyone in our global community. Pull requests can be made in participating GitHub-hosted repositories/projects, classified with the Hacktoberfest topic. You can sign up anytime between October 1 and October 31.

Contribution guideline

  • If you are contributing notes, place it under its specified domain.
  • If you are contributing algorithm programs, place it under algorithm folder.
  • If you are contributing specific program, place it under program folder
  • If you are contributing designs, place it under design folder.

Note

Before you start you must register in hactoberfest and contribution must be code to be counted as valid PR.

Let me show you how easy it is:

1. Fork this repository

Fork this repository by clicking on the fork button on the top of this page. This will create a copy of this repository in your account.


2. Clone the repository

Now clone the forked repository to your machine. Go to your GitHub account, open the forked repository, click on the clone button and then click the copy to clipboard icon.
Now let's bring the cloned repository to your local machine.
git clone <url-you-just-copied>
For example:
git clone https://github.com/pratiksh404/nepactober.git


3. Move inside the repository

Since you want to change the files inside, first let's move to the folder correctly. Use the following command on terminal:
cd nepactober


4. Make a new branch

Since now you're about to make your personal changes to the project, it's always a better idea to make a new branch. Run the following command:

git checkout -b <branch_name>
For example:
git checkout -b new_branch


6. Commit all your changes

It's finally that time when you commit your changes and leave a beautiful commit message behind. You can run the following commands:

git add .
git commit -m "<Message>"
For example:
git commit -m "Added a script"

Finally, push your changes to Github:
To do so run the following command:

git push origin <your-branch-name>
For example:
git push origin branch_name


7. Hit us a pull request

If you go to your repository on GitHub, you'll see a Compare & pull request button. Click on that button. Now submit the pull request. Leave a custom message if you want.
