Implement regression by leaps and bounds for our maxR modelselection toolbox #6998
Comments
Wendy Wong commented: I have tried to do the timing test on mr-0xdl26, however, I was not able to make it work. I tried to make maxr call maxrsweep model building but found that they have the same performance. This literally gives me a heart attack. After recovering from said heart attack, I decided to just test it on my dinky laptop. Here is the results: !image-20220615-180616.png|width=1528,height=936! If the graph is not clear, here is the actual spreadsheet: !image-20220615-180809.png|width=588,height=517! It does look like using sweep can speed up the modelselection process significantly. |
Wendy Wong commented: I have attached the doc named SweepMaxR.pdf to explain what I have implemented. |
