The github package includes several script files. The documentation is written within each file and exported using markdoc package. The code for generating the Stata help files and Markdown documentation is stored in the make.do file.

• gitget command for alternative package installation
• make program for building package installation files
• pkgzip for downloading packaging zip-file from SSC
• githublistpack for mining Stata packages on GitHub
• sscminer for mining SSC Stata packages
• abspath a program for returning absolute file path
• findall a program used by github to carry out extended search
