I was trying to run the macos version, i downloaded the plenopticam_0.9.3.dmg.

the dmg opens fine, but trying to run the enclosed plenopticam.app gives an error saying it is damaged.

ive tried this on an i5 and m2 cpu.

any ideas?

I just checked on an Intel-based CPU, which ran smoothly. I currently have no access to the newer Apple architectures. Can someone else confirm this issue? Would the command line usage via pip install plenopticam and plenopticam -h do the job for now?

Also, did this problem occur with earlier versions like v0.9.1?

I found the cause of the problem, which is that pyinstaller fails to properly include tcl/tk libraries. Other users of pyinstaller report similar issues (see pyinstaller/pyinstaller#1350) . If my project would generate some income, I had more time to spend on this particular macOS-related pyinstaller app bundling issue. At this stage, the command-line interface, an earlier version (plenopticam_0.6.4.dmg) or alternative OS apps serve as viable alternatives. Thanks for pointing this out anyways!
