Support for dead keys layouts

Hi, bumping this old but still working package. It's quite awesome to be honest, works perfectly even after years w/o development.

The only issue I'm facing is that my current layout (pt-br ABNT2) uses dead-keys, and those do not work when using this layout.

Is this a m17n issue, is it fixable? Any info would be appreciated, if support for dead keys is actually feasible I might even take the challenge and try to do it myself, even though I have no idea how 😅
