Markdown editor inconsistency

When editing a .md file on online its preview supports tables like

Tables	Are	Cool
col 3 is	right-aligned	$1600
col 2 is	centered	$12
zebra stripes	are neat	$1

They get rendered nicely. When visiting a wiki made of same .md file it gets rendered as

| Tables | Are | Cool | | ------------- |:-------------:| -----:| | col 3 is | right-aligned | $1600 | | col 2 is | centered | $12 | | zebra stripes | are neat | $1 |

Are there different Markdown renderers used?
