Known issues for rev.345 where we plan fixes for rev.346 #310
Comments
hi, rev.345 version closes during installation in win 11. Is there a way to install linux mint, it gives a fatal error |
I will do some testing of the version, I fixed a broken Windows boot loader before so if anything happens I will be back. |
Does an older version of Wubiuefi work ? If yes, then try an older version of Wubiuefi OR use workaround in release notes: https://github.com/hakuna-m/wubiuefi/releases/tag/2204r345
If no, maybe a planned fix for Lubuntu installer will help. There are no plans to release fixes especially for Linux Mint. |
hi, rev.345 version closes during installation in win 11 fix |
All planned fixes only affect the Linux part of installation. So there is no special fix for Win 11. Win 11 should work like Win 10. If there are other errors in the Windows part of installation, please create a new issue and add your log file |
not so, when installing with wubi in win 11, it closes, wubi closes directly without installing |
If you run wubi2204r345.exe and it closes immediately, check your log files and if no log files exist, run wubi2204r345.exe from Windows Command Prompt: https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/command_prompt_11.html But please create a new issue. I do not think that it is a general issue of rev. 345. |
Probably, the currently used servers are slow. It does not only depend on your connection speed. It depends also on the speed between Ubuntu main server and your location. Theoretically, bittorrent downloads can also be faster than direct downloads, but in my experience they are slower. But in most cases not as slow as you reported. My suggestion: If torrent downloads do not work, try direct downloads. see #309 (comment) |
